@dipsr  Interesting article and a perfect tool/strategy to promote one way communication...for, let's say a flag to turn on IoT lights all over my house, inside ad out, when there is an alarm state on my SS3.

@captain11

Would make the sensors useful in Home Assistant also.

I just watched the Home Assistant live YouTube chat, users write messages back or questions AYPK.

Year of the voice, just received my preview voice device. Totally local, users can hook it into Ai LLM's and more if wanted. Some say its better than Google's & Alexa. Of course they're biased. Lol

They're also bringing back a use for old analog phones. Example; You walk into a room, motion or presence sensor detects, phone rings, Home Assistant ask if you'd like to hear your favorite song, a yes and it streams over your speakers.

Home Assistant is making amazing leaps.

I started too late in life, but at least I'm on the boat, finally. 😂 Quite amazing for home automation.

@captain11 Aside from that & in the now world.

My cross automations did this a while ago.

She's cooking, smoke enough to set off a 9 volt, plain jane smoke detector, I can't hear that pitch even with hearing aids unless I'm close.

So, the Wyze cameras are listeners, 4 heard the smoke alarm, sent a notification to my phone & via Tasker etc., triggered an automation that plays a fire truck siren to my hearing aids or chosen speaker.

And simultaneously, if the Wyze cameras hear that sound, their app automations are set to trigger two cameras sirens in the bedroom. (They look out windows, no leather or whips)😉

Let's just say I heard and will hear the alarms.

😂 She said it's like living inside a computer game. Lol🤔🤣
