sold our house and moving our system
Hey! is moving a system as easy and unplugging it and plugging it back in? And if we decide to leave it for the new owners can we just do that? What's entailed in transferring control of a system that is installed on the house? I'm hoping we can just deactivate the system and they can reach out and turn it back on as if it was new equipment. Is that true?
I know that's two questions, but if someone could help with that I'd appreciate it!

Hi @markatbighand,
If you would like to take your entire SimpliSafe system with you during your move, all you will have to do is unplug your Base Station and take down your devices. Once you move into your new home, you will just need to physically re-install your devices and re-connect your Base Station and cameras to Wi-Fi if your network changes. For a more in-depth look at what the process is like to take your system with you when you move, check out the guided flow at the bottom of this Help Center article.
If you decide that you would like to leave your SimpliSafe system for the new residents, you will need to remove any Smart Locks and cameras you may have from your system, but all other devices can stay connected. Then, give our Support team a call so they can cancel your service before the new residents move in. For a step-by-step guide regarding leaving your system at your home, I recommend checking out this article in our Help Center.
