signal jammers

I've seen reports of signal jamming used to disable or blind wifi based security systems. How prevalent are these and can my system detect such a threat?

@andoh812 If you search the support area you fill find articles on this subject, and many threads from customers. SS3 will alert you if interference is detected. A few years back there were reports that garage door openers could also jam a sensor, and I tested that myself. The intruder would have to know the exact location of the sensor in question AND the location of your base and put the remote directly in line between the two. From my testing, extremely if not impossible to do, however, commercial high powered jammers could prevent sensors communication to the base. (BTW, they don't use WIFI.)

All of that said, I am very comfortable with my system but do hope SimpliSafe will take further steps to prevent jamming in the future.
