Set alarm remotely

We have the keyfob which allows us to set the alarm (AWAY) and turn it off, but distance from the base station is limited.  Is there a way to turn the alarm on and off using the app from anywhere further away from the base station?

Hi @twohassez ,

Yes, the SimpliSafe app (available from your phone's App Store) enables online command from anywhere in the world, using the Base Station's WiFi or built-in cellular connection. You just need to activate your system to connect it to the service.

If you haven't activated already, the first page you see after logging in should prompt you to get started.

How exactly do we use the app to arm and disarm the system remotely? Our system and app have been working great for two months now. Not sure how to use it remotely.

@vpickert​ On the main Overview page of the SimpliSafe mobile app, you will see three circles that say Off, Home, and Away. To arm and disarm your system using the mobile app, tap the circle for the corresponding mode that you want to put your system into.
