Server Down?

Tested the thing this morning, armed away, opened a door alarm went off, ok.

Then everything went south, base disconnected from Wi-Fi, refused to connect, sends your server down message in app. Won't connect via app or keypad.

Spare me the mine works fine remarks from the SS fan gallery. How do you know?

This thing will be the death of me. PITA.

Oops, someone must have fixed it, it just auto connected. SMH

Oh, it was me that fixed it, blew out the base station, SMH.

Not dependable when needed to work.

@dlpsr No interruption in service this morning....at least in IL.  Sorry you were not spared. :-)

@captain11 Short rant, in PA, it's still a piece of junk. Always will be.

Getting this same message and the base station will not connect the keypad will not connect and the base station wants to beep all the time.    Any advice?

@robertwaplesii If the Base Station is not connected to Wi-Fi or its cellular backup, that would result in a No Link to Dispatcher error, which in turn would cause the Base Station's Trouble Signal to sound.

We recommend resetting the Base Station to see if it and the Keypad reconnect to WiFi. To reset the Base Station, take the following steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station, and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, the Base Station will say "Welcome to SimpliSafe"

It can also help to reboot your WiFi router by unplugging it for 30-60 seconds and then plug it back it.
