Replacement base station running firmware version 2.3.10 and keypad with 2.3.4 is not able to connect to wifi

Replacement base station running firmware version 2.3.10 and keypad with 2.3.4 is not able to connect to wifi. When attempting to connect it never finds one even though there are many 2.4 ghz wireless networks nearby. The old base station running 1.6.4 did not have any issues with finding a wireless network and connecting. I have tried manually from the app but fails saying there is a problem with connecting to the simplisafe server

I'm in this situation as well, and I'm pretty sure it's because one of the recent firmware revisions lowered the accepted Wi-Fi password length to 31 characters.

Please fix this, Simplisafe. Restore the 32-character limit that is still documented and still active for your cameras.

Or even better, allow up to 64 characters as WPA2 permits.

I have tried different network name combinations and password combinations but the keypad and the app are stuck at searching for Wi-Fi network then after some time they time out. I am thinking about swapping the wifi module between the two base stations

@ kepster9312 what wifi equipment do you have? Mesh? Also, did you try using a simple straighforward temporary pw to see if it is a special character issue? Did you contact SS direct to have a support tix put in and have it escalated?
