Keypad indicates "Alarm On" when it is not on

I continue to have SimpliSafe system problems. My keypad shows "Alarm On" when indeed the alarm is not on. This has been ongoing for a long time and no one at Simplisafe seems to be able to fix it. I've replaced the keypad--that didn't fix it. I refresh the system--that doesn't fix it.

Seems odd, given the unlikely event that 2 keypads would experience the same exact issue.  I would suggest looking at what hasn't changed, like the location of the keypad and base especially in relation to each other.  Perhaps there is some kind of electrical interference where the keypad is located, or there are too many objects between the keypad and the base to get a good signal.  Try temporarily moving the keypad as close as possible to the base, at least within a few feet and maybe in the same room.  I might even power off the keypad and reinstall the batteries once they are close.  Do this for a few days (or as long as you like) to see if that changes anything.

If I'm understanding you correctly, the keypad says "Alarm On", but you can still go in and out your front door and the alarm doesn't activate.

What happens if you put in your code to turn the alarm off?

Could it be a base station issue?

Hi halesbp56,

I think what you're saying is that, say you're at home, and you know that your system is disarmed. The Base Station's light is even turned off. But then you glance at your Keypad, and it's showing the "Alarm On" message when it shouldn't be?

If so, the biggest culprit would be interference. Something (maybe a dense physical object that is literally in the way, or another wireless signal drowning out your SimpliSafe) is preventing the Keypad from getting the correct messages from the Base Station. hondaman88's suggestion of putting the Keypad in the same room as the Base Station would be a good way to test - the closer the two components are to each other, the easier it is for them to overcome interference of any type.

But you also haven't mentioned if we've already replaced your Base Station as well. Maybe the next step would be that?
