Keypad beeps once every 14 minutes

My keypad makes a single beep once every 14 minutes. There are no errors on the keypad or in my App. I have changed the batteries but that didn't help. I checked the rechargeable batteries in the base station but they are fully charged. I cannot figure out the cause of the beep. Any idea's?

@jmel88 Never heard of this one but before you call support suggest removing and adding back into system and, if that fails, try swapping locations if you have another keypad.  If it doesn't work and you call support; please post your outcome here.

Hi @jmel88 ,

Are you sure it's definitely coming from the Keypad? The Keypad doesn't have a function that matches your description.

The sound might be the three-note Trouble Signal from the Base Station, and if so, there's a limited number of errors that might cause it to happen. But yes, you would also see the <!> Notification on the Keypad, which will show any pending errors.

If you could share a recording of the sound, that could help us figure it out!

My keypad has also been beeping for one second intermittently. Might be 30 minutes apart or several hours between beeps. I probably hear it three or four times a day. I changed batteries and installed an update it asked for but it still does this.

@michaelbanacki Do you see any error messages on your Keypad? The Keypad does not have a feature that would cause it to beep intermittently, but what this could be is the Base Station's Trouble Signal

The Trouble Signal is a three-toned chime that sounds to warn you of a potential problem with your system. If this actually is the Trouble Signal, you would see a <!> symbol on your Keypad, notifying you of what the problem is. Once the problem has been resolved, the Trouble Signal will stop sounding.

But if you do not need this notification on your Keypad, could you please send us a recording of this sound? That could help us identify this issue.

@emily_s No error messages. Just a random single one second beep throughout the day and night. It would be difficult to record since I have no idea when it will beep. Totally random. It's been doing it for a few weeks.

OK, I have a recording of the beep from the keypad. It faintly beeps at the bottom of the hour (30 minutes after the hour).

@michaelbanacki Thank you for capturing these videos! Unfortunately, I seem to be unable to play them. Could you please upload these videos again? You can also send them to me in the Community's direct messenger instead if you prefer.

It loads the video and shows the first frame and time of five seconds, but when I hit post the link the picture disappears and it shows zero seconds of zero seconds instead of zero seconds of five seconds. So Something is wrong with this forum. I'll try again. As far as direct messaging you mentioned, I tried that but the video would not load. Here goes the third attempt at posting.

Has anyone come up with a fix for this beeping keypad yet? It's getting annoying. Faint one second beep at the bottom of every hour.

@michaelbanacki Apologies, there seems to be some problem with the Community's video uploader that is preventing your video from loading properly.

What happens if you power down your Keypad by removing a battery from the device. Do you continue to hear this beeping sound every hour?

@emily_s When this started I changed batteries. When that didn't work I pulled the batteries for a few minutes. That didn't work either. Faint high pitch one second beep at the bottom of the hour. Thanks.

@michaelbanacki the problem is that we're not 100% sure it's the Keypad that you're hearing. As I mentioned above, it doesn't sound like any function that the Keypad is designed to do - it normally only chirps when there is an actual alarm event.

So what we're asking is if you still hear that beep if the Keypad is completely shut down, which would of course mean that it's another device.
