How to Enable Power Outage notification?

How do I set up a push or SMS notification of a power outage?  I recently installed your latest gen system.  My old gen 1 system would notify me of an outage & of power restored.

Hi @jmarraccini ,

Power Outages still do generate a notification, and it's enabled by default. But with the Gen 3 system, there is a delay of 1 minute (as part of the UL-985 standard). So you might just need to wait a bit more before the outage notification appears for you.

Thanks, I tested it & it does notify after a minute & notifies after minute after it has been restored.

Power outage notifications are set to on by default. How can I disable that notification?

@hihurleys Power Outage notifications cannot be turned off for your system. You can turn off the System Health notification category in the SimpliSafe® mobile app, but that would prevent you from getting other notifications, like if a device has gone Offline or the Base Station has lost its Wi-Fi connection.

Thanks. The issue was that the cable would go down in the middle of the night, and I thought I had to remove the batteries to silence the notifications. I discovered that I can turn it off on the keypad or app by turning the status to OFF.

By any chance, if a power outage occurs, will an offline notification be generated in the app even if a paid subscription is not used?
