Cant Update Firmware
I bought an 11 piece security system quite a while back and never installed it. I finally got around to installing it. I believe it’s a Generation 3 but it’s got the older 2G cellular radio. I did get a notification right away that the firmware was updated, but if it was updated, it wasn’t updated to a very new version.
Its currently at 1.1.8.212
I believe the keypad is a similar software version and I’ve waited 24 hours and tried through the app and the keypad to update. I also tried resetting the base station by pulling the cord and battery. It's also connected to wifi.
Any suggestions?
I have a new shed that I’d like to set this up for a along with a new Smart lock and I know that I probably have to have a much newer firmware version in order to use some of these newer devices.

You can call simplisafe and ask if they can push the new update to you and also ask what chip you have inside as they should know by the serial number, if it's an older one and not the newer 4 5g then they will send you one and it's super easy to install it yourself. My vase station now says 2.17 so yours needs another update.
