Downgraded to basic self monitoring

The results are in...still playing.

Light & Dark mode still works.

Base had issues communicating with the app for quite a while. Adjusting I guess. lol 👀

In case any downgraders are interested to compare or contemplating it yourself and wondering.😉 YMMV.

Cameras detections appear in the timeline as;

"Motion Detected"

"Camera 1234567" (serial number) so far anyhow. But then it did that when I was paying too I think. 😆

Does send that detection push notification correctly with the name of the camera, as named.🤷 Go figure.

I already did the base station do the twist reset. Why not? Didn't change, break or help anything.

Live camera views only of course, if you can get the outdoor cameras awake in time.🫣😁

Actually I've got a couple responding pretty good from my hard work and base station testing. No one at SS cared to follow up on. I have other cameras that work, no worries.

For some reason it still announces entry sensor names for those I'd previously entered with SS default only names.🤔

May evolve as that's not free. That may fail eventually after an update or something.🤷 You can't add new ones though.

Doesn't matter, my primary home built system & Zigbee sensors all announce and warn me if something is opened or was left open, leaked, rattled, vibrated or broke. (Push notifications & Text to Speech) (Kinda of annoying actually in my bluetooth hearing aids) 😆 she opens doors a lot.😵‍💫

Scheduled arming ceases to function.

A simple Samsung Routine got around that in all of 5 minutes.

I arm and disarm on a timed schedule with a Samsung modes and routines touch macro.

I think it it still announces Simplisafe Armed, Home etc.. Can't hear it unless I'm right beside it anyhow. I think its V.I.K.I. from iRobot in there. 😱

Doesn't notify of anything else, but that doesn't matter either.

I'll arm it and fire off the alarm tomorrow make sure that still works as a noise maker.

It has been relegated & demoted to backup redundant system until it fails.

Then I'll do a tech autopsy on it or perhaps a lobotomy.🤔🤓🧐👨‍⚕️😷
