Voltage for Video Doorbell

I see that Simplisafe is suggesting 8v-24v transformers for the doorbell. I'm metering 12.7v at the camera mount and the charging contactors for the doorbell.  However,  the doorbell won't charge.  I get no light when trying to set up to my base station.  Please help. Is 12.7v enough to operate the video doorbell?

You might have to leave it connected for awhile to let it charge up if you haven't already. That should be plenty to run it and if not maybe a bad doorbell. Might have to call simplisafe.

Hello @Archer3122,

12.7v should absolutely be enough to power your doorbell. I see that you've already connected with our Support team and they're sending a Chime Connector your way. The Chime Connector will help ensure that your Video Doorbell is getting supplied with enough voltage!
