Video Doorbell Pro: Left/Right and Right/Left wedges

I'm interested in the Video Doorbell Pro but would need a left/right wedge.  One posting stated that SimpliSafe will send one of these wedges as needed.  It doesn't appear to be available for purchase. 

Questions:  What is the wedge's angle?  Is it adjustable?  What colors are available?  Can a picture be posted here?

Our support team can send out that accessory as needed. The Doorbell Wedge Kit can do horizontal angling, up to 15 degrees. The kit includes the horizontal angling bracket, the vertical angling bracket, and the original flat bracket, along with a screw kit for easy assembly. It comes in the same white color as the Video Doorbell Pro.

@alexandria_c: your support team has no clue what a horizontal widge kit is.  I called and spent a good 20 minutes (maybe more) trying to explain it and what is needed.  In the end, they sent me another vertical wedge, like the one that came with the doorbell.

So, if such a thing really exists - a horizontal wedge kit (to rotate the the doorbell around a veritcal axis so that it points at the person in front of the door) - then how can you order, get it, tell your "support" team so they know exactly what you're talking about and get the correct thing from them???

@sssks​ We do offer a Horizontal Wedge that can adjust the angle of the Video Doorbell 15° to the left or right. I'm sorry to hear that you were sent the incorrect bracket. I forwarded this case to our escalated Support team, they'll be able to send you the Horizontal Wedge as well.

Not trying to belabor this issue, but I wanted to quickly follow-up with my SimpliSafe experience and a horizontal wedge.  So, I guess I 'complained' enough (which I really didn't - just the one call to support and the posting here), but I received a call from the "special" support team regarding this issue.  The individual - D**** - apologized for the confusion, assured me that a horizontal wedge did truly exist, and that he would send one to me right away.

That was about 2 weeks ago - and nothing!  No horizontal wedge, no follow-up (email or otherwise), nothing.

Anyway, IMHO, SimpliSafe is not so good (and I regret going with them), and this incident is just another example.  So, in the end, look for horizontal wedges for SimpliSafe doorbells elsewhere.

I have a similar problem and need a horizontal wedge. My doorbell is on the sidewall (basically at 90°) of the door, will this wedge help focus the doorbell on my entry way?

You can also go on Amazon and find them as well. Angle bracket for the simplisafe video doorbell.

I am writing this on 7-20-2024 and have recently purchased a small SimpliSafe system. After reading the above, I'm also worried about SimpliSafe. I have the same problem. The wedge that can angle the camera up and down (horizontal axis) came with the camera. I called support to get a wedge that was mentioned in the installation manual to rotate the camera right or left (vertical axis). The support person said she could get me that but had to check to see what the charge would be. She came back on the line to tell it would not cost anything and would send it out right away. I received the wedge mounting bracket 2 days ago. It is the same one I already had that came with the camera that changes the angle up and down (horizontal axis). As someone commented a few months ago, SimpliSafe should have an accessory catalog with description and part numbers so customers could identify what they need and order by the part number. I do not think the support people understand the horizontal and vertical axis concept.

@rustybaker7​ looking into your account records, I do see that you were sent the wrong part. They sent the Angled Bracket, which is exactly the same part that already comes with your Video Doorbell. But you're looking for the Wedge Kit, which includes the 15º horizontal bracket, among other items. Please contact our Support team again and we'll make sure to get the Wedge Kit to you.
