Secure Outdoor Camera Mounting
After installing 3 of the Outdoor Cameras Series 2, I highly recommend the optional Permanent Mounts for each Outdoor Camera which should come standard. The round black metal ball-shaped part that come with every Outdoor camera are quick and easy to install but have a major problem. Once the black mounting plate is installed in the desired area only a very small twist is required to mount the round black metal ball-shaped part. When making final adjustments for camera placement or angles the camera and round black metal ball-shaped part fell off the black mounting plate. The round black metal ball-shaped part that secures via magnet is NOT the problem. The problem is the design of the black mounting plate that secures with only a small twist. No other Outdoor camera system I've reviewed has this deficiency. I used black electrical tape to secure the round black metal ball-shaped part to the black mounting plate.

@corona_1 The Outdoor Camera Series 2 and its magnetic mount certainly should not fall off the mount's base plate - especially when adjusting the camera's angle.
When screwing the magnetic mount to the base plate, did you audibly hear it click into place? If not, the magnetic mount may not have been attached all the way. But if you did hear it click into place, that would indicate an issue with the mount itself. In that case, please contact our Support team so they can send you a new one.
