Outdoor cameras (2) will not connect to Wi-Fi. Why?

Both cameras worked fine several months ago. Then they did not.  I went through the entire protocol to fix this without any success.  My Wi-Fi is very strong and has the 2.4 protocol. The base station has strong Wi-Fi.  This is very frustrating. I hope a fix is coming along.

BTW, I just installed a MyQ Garage camera without any problems.

I am having allot of issues with outside cameras. Installed extenders with no luck. Purchased mesh Eero pro 6 3 pack, no luck. Niether camera can find any of my 4 networks avaiable. Getting realy flustrating. Uninstalled both cameras. Reinstalling one at a time and still no luck.

@smjp sorry to hear that you're having trouble.

Were your cameras previously working, like the original poster's? I suspect a compatibility issue, especially if your cameras are out of data with the firmware.

In the past, we've had success with setting up a dedicated Guest SSID, locked to the 2.4GHz band. And make sure you have WPA3 Mixed Mode or WPA2 enabled as well, rather than straight WPA3.

@jkgarman apologies for the delay in response. By "entire protocol", I'm assuming that already includes doing a reset by pressing the Pairing Button in the back for 16 seconds? Do you see any signs of the units still being powered on (LEDs, voice prompts)?

If you're still having trouble, I can put you in touch with our escalations team for more advanced troubleshooting.

There must have been an update. I was finally able to easily connect one of my 2 outdoor cameras and my single indoor camera. Turns out, one of my outdoor cameras was faulty. SimpliSafe did an excellent job of diagnosing the faulty one and are replacing it.  All's well that ends well.
