False alarms from camera

A few years ago I reported to Simplisafe that my doorbell was providing false alarms based on a flag waving. Their engineering group got involved and monitored the doorbell. So far I have not heard the issue has been resolved and I know it's still occurring. Does anyone know what, if any progress, has been made towards resolving the issue.

Yes, I have used the feature to isolate certain sections and I've lowered sensitivity and everything else that I was requested to do.

I'm reopening this conversation because I just installed an outdoor camera to watch my pool and guess what the moving water is causing bogus alerts despite trying to isolate that area of the camera view.

@retiredit Suggest you download an example in a video and then call SS to offer submitting it for analysis, on the basis you get some follow up and an answer on it this time! SS?

@captain11 The engineering group actually installed software on my camera when I first reported this problem, and I never got a response. All I know is that in my new home it is happening again.

The only way I got any where last time was because I was finally able to get the ear of the support team supervisor, who is part of a periodic meeting with their internal engineers. My contact is no longer available to help, unfortuantely

Hi @retiredit ,

Since you mention having worked with our Support team already, I'm forwarding your info to our Innovation Lab. We might be able to dig up what happened, and continue the investigation.

@davey_d Pardon me if this was already answered, but what is the "Innovation Lab"?

@captain11 you've worked with them before, but might not know we gave them a name. They're also senior specialists, but with a focus on engineering-related issues.

@retiredit ah! Scott and I have worked closely together before. Unfortunately he's moved on to a different role. But I can put you in touch with someone else on the team.
