Cannot set up second Simplicam

I setup my base and first Simplicam without any difficulty. The camera works well, and there is no issue with WiFi connection. However, I bought a new SimpliCam, and it is not connecting. I am able to go through the entire setup process, but at the final step of connecting the camera (after the QR code scan), it says "Unable to complete camera setup". I have tried to reset the camera multiple times already, trying the install multiple different times to no success. My WiFi continues to work great for the base and the first Simplicam.

Hi @sbhr, 

Have any changes been made to your Wi-Fi network since setting up your Base Station and your first camera? Wi-Fi networks need to be configured with the following settings to allow SimpliSafe devices to connect properly:

  • Both the SSID (network name) cannot exceed 31 characters
  • Your Wi-Fi network must be broadcasting at 2.4GHz

  • Your network must be configured as WPA2 or WPA2/3 Mixed Mode

If any changes were made to your network that don't align with the above requirements, that could explain this issue.

But if no changes have been made to your network, I would recommend setting up a guest network with an entirely different SSID and password and try connecting your SimpliCam to it.
