Cameras status

I see "some" improvement here and there. Consistent? No.

Strange too, one outdoor camera that is closer to the base and seemingly less walls can be slower than one that is furthest away from base station with more walls on first view.πŸ€·πŸ§πŸ€”

4 outdoor on 1.32, 1 stuck on 1.30. I'll reset it someday if it doesn't ever catch up.

I've had 2 or 3 seconds on a couple outdoor today, some consistent for a little while and then back to not consistent.

Some outdoor have taken 13 to 20 seconds+ and 3 tries sometimes to open live view today. But they settle back to around 8 seconds once they ever wake up. I don't play with them much anymore, why bother?

That's new with recent updates. All were consistently about 7 or 8 seconds for quite some time.

I cleaned out all the apps cache. Rebooted phone, tried both WiFi SSID's I have setup. No significant differences at router or channel.

Two "improved wifi" doorbells Kurt sent me show signs of some improvement, but nothing consistent.

And some doorbells connection issues like dropping after trying to connect and then immediately blinking back to ok. The old ones never did that as I recall. As much anyhow.

Still get slow uploads and black videos, partial videos etc. from the doorbells, if you push them hard especially. But, under normal operation and detection, a little improvement there.

Took weeks to see it but it's there. Inconsistent though it is. Haven't heard from Kurt in weeks or longer. Still work there? 😁

I don't expect a call really, nothing can be done on a phone anyhow. I can report here. For what that's worth.

If you want the old doorbells back someone's going to have to send me a return label. They're laying here for weeks or longer now.

If not, let me know that also.

Once I get any camera open to live view I can consistently continue to open live view fast on that cam. Then back to sleepy and slow, including wired doorbells.

If an outdoor cam is asleep, 1st open on any cam average 7-8 seconds, 2nd open, same cam, 4 seconds, 3rd open 2 seconds and then constantly open that same cam in 2 seconds or so, until I let it sleep for a while, then back to square 1.

Keep at it, after 19ish months, the cameras are almost useful for live views, but not yet.
