Cameras incredibly slow when launched from notification

I don't know about all of you but lately the lag and slowness of the app and cameras is really getting bad. Anytime I receive a notification for motion on my cameras, I do what anyone else would do and tap the notification to open the camera. It literally takes the app and feed entire minutes to open before the feed finally is viewable. By that time, whatever it was is long gone. Why in God's name does it take so long to just view what the camera is already seeing? Before all of you jump in on the bandwagon that it's my network, let me stop you right there, it's not. My Nest cameras open without issue almost immediately. The IP cameras I use for CCTV have no issues whatsoever, it's only the Simplisafe brand cameras and app.

The original plan was to replace Nest and the IP cameras with Simplisafe, I am quickly rethinking that premise as if someone actually intends to do me or my property harm, with how slow Simplisafe is, I will never see it coming. For what these cameras cost and what we pay for service, this should never be such an issue.

Rant over but seriously, the Community pages are full of these reports, why is this still such a an issue.

@NateB Before you bail, I suggest you wait a bit for SS to re-release 1.20.  I have two outdoor cameras on AC one on 1.18 and one on 1.20.  The one on 1.20 is live streaming in 2 seconds.

@NateB The Outdoor Camera relies on both Wi-Fi and its connection to the Base Station to record motion and live stream. Since you are noticing slow load times to view a live stream, it can help to move the Base Station a little closer to the camera to strengthen their connection and improve live streaming times.
