Are you upping the camera limit per account?

Are you upping the camera limit per account? Some of us already have 9 cameras plus a doorbell so we're at the current 10 camera limit. I'd like to add a couple of these to my hard wired constant outdoor set up.... But can't with the current limitations...

Hi toastie,

Right now no, for the next little while, we're sticking with just the 10 per account. If/when that number is boosted, we will of course let you know.

@toastie

Is the implication the outside system is still SS system, but you have the camera power "hardwired"?

Just curious to understand what you mean because I've tried using the SS cams with my other camera system but can't get any video from them.

No it's a completely separate system.... Hardwired 4k cameras that record 24/7.  Separate app to view live and videos.

Unless SS has opened up the ecosystem, which I think I recently read they have not, I don't envision their cameras working with someone else's system.

OK I reread what I wrote.  I meant I wanted the simplisafe cameras in the simplisafe app like the indoor cameras now are.... I just need more than 10 total cuz I have 9 indoor cameras plus the doorbell.

I have a separate outdoor, wired, 24/7 system that records EVERYTHING.

I wanted to "supplement" that system... using the simplisafe cameras within simplisafe app... by putting a couple cameras where it's not so easy to run wires.  I know I have to use the simplisafe app with the simplisafe cams and the other camera's/system's app for those cams....

since they limit us to 10 cameras and I've had a few years to add and add and add the indoor ones.... I can't give them any more of my money buying the new outdoor ones now!
