Signal range is not as strong as old Simplisafe

I have a 3 entry sensors in my detached garage going off as "entry sensor not responding".  I never had this problem with the old system that used the older entry sensors and base station.  This base station connect maintain a wifi connection either.  When there is a  wifi connection the entry sensors still persist with the base station "entry sensor not responding".

@soundboyrich The Gen 3 Base Station's range should actually be stronger than the Original SimpliSafe system. A not responding error could be a communication issue between the sensors and Base Station, but it could also mean that the sensors' batteries need to be replaced. I would recommend swapping out the batteries in your Entry Sensors to see if that resolves this error message.

Regarding your Base Station, have you tried resetting it? Performing a rest can force it to reconnect to your network. You can reset your Base Station by taking the following steps:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station, and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, the Base Station will say "Welcome to SimpliSafe"

It can also help to place the Base Station about 5-10 feet away from the Wi-Fi router to help it maintain its Wi-Fi connection.

Power cycling the base station does nothing.

If I put my base station at the rear door (glass window) facing my detached garage the "entry sensor not responding" it does not occur.  All batteries in sensors a just fine, it is though a communication issue where the signal strength is NOT strong enough compared to old system.

Can you explain why the base station can NOT maintain a WIFI connection.  It took 20-30 tries to get a successful connection before.  But now it doesn't connect at all and responds with "network isn't connected to the internet".  Well explain why the base station doesn't connect or drops the connection.  (I press "retry" or enter a password over and over each connection attempt, it should connect to WIFI and maintain the connection).  Any WIFI device will connect to WIFI and keep the connection EVEN WHEN INTERNET IS UNAVAILABLE.  But in my situation, every device in my home has internet with exception of Simplisafe base station.
