Set up FaceID, still asks me to log in manually

Last week I discovered how to set up FaceID on the app. I was hoping that would take care of having to repeatedly log into the app every few days. But today, I opened the app, FaceID did its thing successfully, and then it STILL made me put in my email and password to log in. What is the point of this?? What if I have an alarm event or other camera alert that I need to check quickly? How does that even help anything by requiring manual sign in even with FaceID?

Not even my bank app requires this. on my bank app I open it, FaceID logs me in, and done. Just like every other app working with FaceID. Why does this have to be difficult?

I too would like to not have to constantly sign in to the app.  If my doorbell rings, i never am able to just access the camera right away to see who is there.  Most often they’ve left by the time i can see who was there.  Isn’t the point of the camera to know who is there before i open my door!?!
