Sensor or Base Station Issue?
Our alarm system/sensor seems to have a mind of its own. We can open the door with the alarm set and nothing happens. We can leave the door open for 5-6 minutes and still wont trigger. When you close the door, nothing happens. Periodically, the door open chime also will not go off. Do I need to do an update? Replace a battery? Replace a sensor?

@brad6294 We recommend looking at the Alarm Mode settings for that Entry Sensor in the SimpliSafe mobile app as a first step. In the app, go to My System > Device Settings > [your Entry Sensor] > Alarm Mode. Then, check and make sure that it's set to Alarm in Home and/or Away modes. If the setting is set to Disabled, the Entry Sensor will not trigger an alarm in the respective armed state.
But if the Entry Sensor is set to Alarm, it could be that the Base Station is having a hard time communicating with it. You can check this by putting your system into Test Mode. If the Entry Sensor does not respond when in Test Mode, that's a good clue that the sensor and Base Station have a weak connection.
