Hi @ckrummert ,

If I have this right, you have recently switched to a new phone, and you want to know how to access your SimpliSafe account on it. Here's how:

  1. Head over to your phone's App Store. If you have an Android device, that would be Google Play. Search for the "SimpliSafe" app and download it.
  2. Once the SimpliSafe app is on your phone, open it.
  3. Log in using your username (email address) and password.

Once you are logged in, all of your account info will be loaded.

HI I also recently got a new phone.  I have downloaded the app on my phone. However, all the push notifications still go to my old phone.  Not sure how to fix that.  I have activated all the push notification settings on my new phone but still the push notifications do not come to my new phone

Hi @summer,

The Push Notification setting is per-phone, and can be set on multiple phones at the same time. So the only thing you'd need to do is disable notifications on your old phone, and enable them on your new phone (in the SimpliSafe app, under Menu > Alerts & Notifications > Push Notifications).

You mention that you've already enabled Push Notifications on the new phone. When you set it up, were you prompted by your operating system to allow Notifications? You can double-check in your operating system's settings. For example in iOS:

  1. Open the Settings App > Notifications > SimpliSafe
  2. Check that Allow Notifications and Critical Alerts are enabled

If you're still having trouble, there may be an account-side issue that we'll need to investigate. Our Support team would be happy to help!

I got a new Galaxy Z-Flip 5 and after logon I'm taken to a page which displays "com.simplisafe.mobile://auth.simplisafe.com/android/com.simplisafe.mobile/callback?code=esdeXAMwOBzFQ8L5An9ittz2bh4fLHp_eX2hXJChuFEfr&state=hiE-tjFWKkSg_1aA-E3N1qOlblvTBzYm4Ql4QBRzo-Q".

I can paste this url into my browser and actually use the application but this is not normal application behavior.

SimpliSafe app has been uninstalled and reinstalled, but same behavior.

Help please.

@patrickostman What is the default browser app on your mobile device? I would recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox to see if that prevents this. If not, could you please provide me with a screen recording of you trying to log into the mobile app and accessing your account via that link? This is something I may have to send to our engineers to look into.

I got a new Android phone (my old one was also Android). Simplisafe app is on my new phone. It shows me logged in to my account, so I selected Set up a system.
Let's get started with your Base Station. Let's go. Enters Property Name. A couple more steps like plug it in (but it already is). Scan the QR code, so I do that.

"This base station is already registered to an account"

Well yeah, and I am the second person on the account. This worked before, but not now.

When I exit the setup, I don't see anything that lets me actually use the app with the three round buttons.

What should I do differently? The app store does not show that I need an app update.

@marysews Just so I have this right, when you logged into your SimpliSafe account on your new phone, you did not see your existing system but were prompted to set up a new one?

If you look at the top right corner on the home screen of the app, do you see a house icon? If so, click on that and you should see a dropdown that lets you select your system.
