Cant connect to Alexa

Hi, I just got my system up and running today and I am trying to connect it to alexa. I already enabled the skill but when I try to link the account it says the following message: " Sorry, no compatible SimpliSafe systems are on your account'. Mu system is a gen 3. Any help will be appreciated.

Same here. Just installed and get the same error. I think it’s because SimpliSafe requires the higher paid monitoring subscription. Which is ridiculous. I don’t want that level of monitoring, why make customers pay for it just to use Alexa with it? How frickin bush league is that?

You are correct. Smart Home Integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant requires the $27.99 Interactive Monitoring Plan. For more info, please visit our Help Center article here.

I have the Interactive Monitoring plan and still can’t connect Alexa. It says it’s connected but it can’t arm or disarm my system.

@jackmc2001​ Our integration with Alexa doesn't allow you to disarm your system via voice command, but you should be able to arm your system with it.

If you haven't already, I would recommend revoking Alexa's access to your system and then enable it again.

I have the $27.99 Interactive Monitoring Plan and I get the same message trying to connect with Alexa. What gives?

Was this after following the setup wizard on the Alexa app on your phone? If you could let us know the exact error message (or share a screenshot), that can help us with troubleshooting.

Please change the policy of requiring higher level monitoring service just to get the ability to integrate alexa. That makes no sense. Just let us integrate with Alexa and keep the monitoring separate for those who want that. You’re really limiting us as customers. Especially those of us who use Alexa for lots of other things.

SS sucks. Very delayed and says it works with Alexa but it is limited in other words u cannot watch live feed on your Alexa screen. Recording is delayed and I have booster plain and simply look elsewhere.

I've had the same issues. I recently created a new group and named it simplisafe. So far so good. We shall see if alexa remembers!
