I have multiple cameras on my SimpliSafe system. I get text messages when one of the cameras is triggered. The problem is that the text message identifies the triggered camera by serial number and not by the name that was used when the camera was set up. It takes way too long for the camera to wake up then when you have to look at the serial number to see which one it is what ever triggered it is usually gone. When the camera is set up you assign a name such as Front Door, Patio Door, or what ever so when it is triggered identify the camera by name not by serial number. Then fix the problem of taking too long to wake up...

In fact, your notifications should be referring to your cameras by their nicknames, not their serial numbers! It sounds like you might have stumbled upon a bug. I have moved your post outside of Product Requests and will be reporting your case to our escalation team for further investigation.

It is indeed a bug, been doing it for several weeks. Check into one of those unannounced outdoor cam firmware updates of late.πŸ˜‰

For me, I've noticed the name seems to appear, then serial number appears initially and right after detection starts, as it slowly, lol, procceses the video it's an SN, when finished it's a name in the timeline.

Seem related to outdoor cams only for me, not doorbells, but it's hot outside in my SS problem cameras test lab, so I never thoroughly checked the doorbells.
