Base Station will not recognize new router

Replaced my spectrum router with TP link and simpli safe app will not recognize

Hi @radsysengineer, 

Just to confirm, does your new router's setup align with our system's Wi-Fi requirements? The SimpliSafe system requires a network that:

  • Broadcasts at 2.4GHz - SimpliSafe cannot connect to 5GHz networks
  • Your SSID and password cannot exceed more than 31 characters each
  • Your network must be configured as WPA2 or WPA 2/3 Mixed Mode

If your network does align with these requirements, I would try resetting the Base Station as a next step. To reset the Base Station:

  1. Unplug the power cord from the Base Station and use a Phillips Head screwdriver to remove the screw below the plug
  2. Remove the bottom cover and remove one battery from the Base Station
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Reassemble the Base Station by inserting the battery, cover, and the power cord
  5. When powered up after the reset, the Base Station will say "Welcome to SimpliSafe"
