App doesn't turn off base light

Problem-- on the user interface (app) under base station settings has a switch/toggle that says "base station light" options are "on/off". This does not turn the light on or off.

TS steps taken:

-- app log out and in, cache cleared

-- system refreshed via "blue arrows"

-- keypad also shows light off

-- more than six hours since original command sent command refreshed and sent three times since original command sent.

-- chat with CSM has verified the system is connected

Discovered there are 3 or 4 light settings when using the key pad. If a simple app toggle won't turn off all the light options and you are forced to use the key pad.... Why not gray out that toggle and write in the apps description that you have to do this via the key pad?

Hi @blkvette94,

Yes, there is the Base Station Light setting in the SimpliSafe mobile app that allows you to turn the LED light at the bottom of the Base Station on or off. There are a few other settings that are part of the UL-985 standard which can only be turned off using the Keypad.

The Wall Power Light is one of those settings that can only be modified via the Keypad. When turned on, the back half of the Base Station's LED light will stay lit when it is getting power from the power adapter. I suspect that setting was still on for your system.

We can submit that app idea of yours to our devs for their consideration. If you could please post that idea as an "Ideas" post in the Product Requests and Suggestions section of the Community, we can send it along!

@emily_s I have no idea who does the testing or app dev for this product-- but they are not very good at catching the obvious. It feels like you went to market at 70% beta and never went past that... If you want me to put in trouble tickets. I bill out at $256 an hour now....
