Important Update for Core and Standard Monitoring Plans
At SimpliSafe®, our main goal is keeping you and your loved ones safe. We continue to invest in our technology, products, and services to make sure you receive the best-in-class home security, which is why SafeWise named us Best Overall at CES 2025.
With that in mind, we are informing you about an upcoming adjustment to the pricing for the Core Monitoring Plan and Standing Monitoring Plan. Over the next few months, existing users on the plans will see that the Core Monitoring Plan’s new price will be $32.99, and the Standard Monitoring Plan’s new price will be $22.99. Customers will be notified by email before any changes are made.

This is crazy.. I was told a while back at the last price hike that they will not be raising prices for a very long time- wrong they lied- I am going to cancel totally and go with a honest company- these guys are not going to get rich off of me- the monthly rate has doubled since I started- and now I am stuck with the super expensive equipment as a pile of junk we are forced to buy

It's time to take a hard look at whether to continue with monitoring, or even Simplisafe altogether. I've used their products since 2006 but price increases every 8 months or so is totally unacceptable.

I’m getting tired of these price increases. I have the standard plan. I have not updated my equipment in years and I have gotten no new sensors. I don’t have any of the fancy cameras. Tell me how these rate increases are benefiting me. If you can’t afford to keep yourself afloat without fleecing your customers every eight months, perhaps you’re in the wrong business.
But then they know they’ve got me because I am not going to invest hundreds of dollars in new equipment with some other alarm company.

True they have us stuck with their expensive equipment and they KNOW it. Its like they sell us a car and they also own all of the gas stations and they jack up the gas to $50 a gallon- shady. And you would think they would have reached out to us as we air our anger with these price hikes- I have heard NOTHING crickets just crickets

How about giving me a refund for the month that my system was basically a useless brick due to the bad firmware update????
Not sure how I feel about paying yet more for you to "invest in your technology" when that is the outcome. Doesn't seem like a very good investment....

Pricing was a feature that drew me to SimpliSafe. I recommended it to many and even helped install if for family members. I will be looking at alternatives after a heavy investment in my system components. SimpliSafe has changed but my service has not. I don't get anything extra for the extra $10/month I'm being charged. That is a steep increase that is hard to accept. I am not interested in AI monitoring nor am I interested in some stranger in some other country having access to my cameras so there is not need to increase the cost of my monitoring. Insult to injury, If I were to downgrade from Core, I won't get the convenience features that I'm used to like text messages when the system is armed and disarmed. Convenient for SimpliSafe to keep me locked into the higher price. I feel violated and will not recommend SimpiSafe to anyone else, ever again. Shame on you SimpliSafe. Simplisketchy
