Turning on alarm without securing sensored zones

I just noticed this but it's actually possible to turn on the away alarm WITHOUT securing all the sensored zones. Please tell me there's a way to change this. I've looked in all the settings. None of them changes this behaviour. This is incredibly unsecure. If I left the window open and turn on the alarm as I leave, I'm not going to know that the window is still open. The alrm will simply arm leaving a vulnerability in the system. I tested this with the front door. It doesn't matter, the system will arm anyways. I'll think everything is fine and secure, but reall it's not.

@artsofdeception suggest you do a google site search on this.  Your topic has been already discussed in depth, pro and con.
Point the way.

The Base Station will announce if there is an open sensor when arming, plus show a message on the keypad.  That's good enough for me...
If a skydiving instructor were to tell you that there are some serious issues with your gear and you ignored them or chose not to resolve the issues in any way and the instructor still lets you go skydiving, that's a bad instructor. Debate freedom of choice all you want, a security system that lets you think everything is secure while it isn't is a bad security system. There's even a term for that. Security theater.

If I am in a hurry and don't have time to figure out which sensor is or thinks it is open, I would rather have all but one sensor armed than no sensors armed.
