Motion sensor testing?

Is there a way to test the triggering of the motion sensors besides arming the alarm? I know the system can do a sensor check to see that it is connected.

Also it would be great to have the beeping out of the keypad louder or at least settable when the alarm is triggered. This way to remind someone that the alarm is set. We have our right by the front door and you can hardly hear it when we open the door.
