Motion sensor alerts

@JiminPA This is not an uncommon complaint and, as of right now, Simplisafe is working on a request to address it.  You will shortly (key word open to interpretation there) have motion settings for each mode of system state: off, home and away.  In your case, would the "When off, back yard camera motion - off" work?

SS, feel free to chime in when this feature will be estimated to release: by end of 2024? first quarter of next year?Stardate 2302.14.305? :-)

@captain11​  This new feature has been released already for the original outdoor camera.  I have both the original and a series 2 outdoor camera.  Waiting on it for the series 2 outdoor camera.   

The software for the original outdoor camera was updated with this about two weeks ago or so.

@JiminPA Apologies, we released a new feature for the Outdoor Camera since that admin made their comment, so the steps are now new. We have updated their comment. 

To turn off motion notifications for the Outdoor Camera:

1. Open the SimpliSafe mobile app on your smartphone or tablet
2. Select My System, and then Camera Settings
3. Choose your Outdoor Camera
4. Under Camera Behavior, select your desired armed mode
5. From there, you can just turn off Motion Notifications so your camera will continue to record in that armed mode but will not send you notifications. Or, you can turn off Motion Detection so the camera will neither send you notifications nor record during that armed state.
6. Follow step 5 for any of the other armed modes you wish to update the camera's behavior in
