Entry sensor has serial numbers....can't add to key pad?

I just installed my new system...purchased 2 additional entry sensors..These did not have the " button" but had serial numbers at the bottom.  Keypad will not give us a place to enter this...please help...how do we add these to the system?

Are you sure they are the same generation as the rest of your system?  (SS2 sensors can't be used with SS3 system, and vice versa)

SS2 sensors have a little white sticker on the bottom or back of the sensors.  SS3 sensors (most of them I think), have the stickers inside of the sensor (you can see them when the sensor is taken off it's back bracket).
