Easiest way to figure out which sensors have low or dead batteries if they are not named

Home has like 27 windows and 7 doors and other sensors like glass break and motion and water. a few were named when installed but majority only maybe have a serial number but that won't tell me the location or floor etc. Any tips or hacks to make battery testing and replacement easier? solo occupant so no way to have other person on different floors during any testing to see what works or not.

Hi @mikeyeargin,

Unfortunately, if your sensors are not named, the only way to confirm which sensors have low batteries is to check the serial number printed on each device and cross-reference them with the serial numbers listed in the SimpliSafe Mobile App or Keypad that need to be replaced.

To find an Entry Sensor's serial number:

  1. Locate the test button on the Entry Sensor
  2. Using your three middle fingers and your hand, put a little pressure on the sensor
  3. With this pressure, push the sensor out toward the direction of the test button
  4. With the Entry Sensor off of its mounting bracket, flip the sensor over. You should see an 8-digit serial number printed above its battery
