Battery life for entry sensors???

How long do the batteries on door/window sensors last?

When they die, does one replace the battery or the entire sensor?

If the former, how does one swap the battery in the entry sensor?

And finally, how is one notified that sensor battery is depleted?

when a battery starts going the system will notify you via a message on the keypad it needs to be replaced. Entry sensors last last many years but I proactively replaced all of mine at 3.  The battery is replaced, not the sensor.

@mikleving​ the Entry Sensor has a mounting bracket that slides right off. That will reveal the battery.

@muellerkevin926​ It's a CR2032 lithium battery, price depends on brand and quantity.

Brand x at Amazon is about $6 for pack of 10.

$6 for pack of 4 Duracell.
