During a power outage at our church, I do get the notification from the base station. But that also means I have no security system!
I want to move my base station to plug into my UPS so I don't lose security. But.... that means I won't know if there is a power outage!
I need a device that plugs into the building AC to tell my base station the building has lost power, while the base station, wifi, etc stays powered up by the UPS (for 24 hours on my UPS).
@grantforsyth User here. SS3 system? The SS3 has battery backup, 4 NiMH rechargeables in the base bottom.
It may not last completely 24 hours or depending on use.
Do you pay for at least standard monitoring? From standard to top tier, you'd have security via the cellular connection or until batteries deplete.
You evidently do have monitoring, when your power drops, your WiFi also drops. The only way I can think of your getting the power outage notification is via SS3 base built in cellular connection.
I read your post again and it appears you may have WiFi if it's also on the UPS, that would explain getting the message if self monitoring. But I'll wait for a reply instead of guessing.

Hi @BWCLT1 ,
I'm not quite sure what you mean. Could you give us more info?
