How to Add New Products to My Existing SimpliSafe® System

Does your Keypad look like the one pictured to the left? Then you're in the right place! You've got the Gen 3 SimpliSafe® system. If you purchased a system in 2017 or earlier, you have the Original SimpliSafe®.  You can view the Original SimpliSafe® article on our Help Center. Or, if you’re not certain what system you have you can learn the difference between them.

If you made a purchase of a new product or device from our website, you can easily add it to your existing system using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App. 

Don’t have the app installed yet? You can download it on your mobile device from the App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android.

Adding New Products Using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App:

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your phone or tablet

  2. Choose the three-bar menu in the upper left corner of the app

  3. Select Add Device or Camera

  4. Choose your product from the list of available options

  5. Follow the in-app prompts to add your device to your system

Once you’re on that page, you’ll need to select whether you’re expanding your Gen 3 SimpliSafe® System (the latest) or Gen 2 (Legacy, Original SimpliSafe®). From there, a drop down menu will expand to highlight what products are in stock and ready to ship!
