What is the Timeline in the SimpliSafe® Mobile and Web App?

What is my account’s timeline?

Your timeline houses important information regarding your SimpliSafe® system so you can be informed about recent activity. 

In your timeline, you can find events regarding:

  • When your system has been armed or disarmed

  • When an alarm has been triggered and canceled 

  • When the Smart Lock has been locked or unlocked

  • When a new device has been added to your system

  • If the system is put into Test Mode

  • If a sensor goes offline or is restored

  • If a camera has a low battery

  • Wi-Fi lost or restored

  • Wireless Interference is detected

  • Camera motion detection 

  • Power outages

  • Automatic tests

  • Secret Alerts

  • Base Station firmware updates

Please note: if you are subscribed to either the Pro Plus, Pro, Core (formerly Fast Protect™), or Self Monitoring with Camera Recordings plans, you will have unlimited access to your timeline. If you are subscribed to either the Basic App Control or Standard Monitoring plans, your timeline will expire after 7 days.

How do I access my timeline?

You can view your timeline in either the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or Web App.

Using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App

  1. Open up the SimpliSafe® Mobile App using either your smartphone or tablet

  2. Select Timeline on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen

  3. Scroll through your timeline to see your latest system events and download camera recordings

Using the SimpliSafe® Web App

  1. Log in to your account at webapp.simplisafe.com

  2. Select Timeline from the navigation bar on the left side of the screen

  3. Scroll through your timeline to see your latest system events and download camera recordings
