@rhermanson64​ it is because you’re not using the original SimpliSafe power cord, I made the mistake and tried setting them up with dollar store power cords, and the same thing daytime images were dark and night vision did not work when it was dark,

@rhermanson64​ I had the same issue when trying to set up my SimpliSafe cameras after storing them for a year. The camera vision was very dark even during the daytime and in the evening there was absolutely no night vision just a blank black screen.
