Oddly, timeline doesn't seem to record activity from any of the regular entry / motion sensors. It's mostly focused on camera feeds, which are often spotty. I'd recommend adding other sensor activity to the timeline as well. Notifications can be set up based on personal preference, but

I agree and would consider this to be a “must have”. It should be standard fare from day one.
i can’t imagine that it is a terribly difficult “enhancement”.
