For the last year+ I have had my SimpliSafe outdoor camera on a covered front porch with a permanent 5V, 2.0 Amp (max) rated cube and outdoor 15 foot cable. As of a few weeks ago, we started to notice that we were no longer getting motion detects on the camera. After three reset/reboot conversations

@lance843​ My original camera (about 2.5 years ago) worked perfectly. Then I had a non-related issue and the new one I received had this problem.  Not just one of them, but three of them.

@negilp​ That's because this is still an issue that Simplisafe refuses to fix.

For the record, Simplisafe continues to state that this is no longer an issue and it has been resolved. As the originator of this thread, Simplisafe can rest assured that this issue was NEVER RESOLVED and still poses a problem for my current camera

@emily_s​ Nope, I am the originator of this issue and it HAS NEVER BEEN RESOLVED. I'm certain that the ticket I put in was marked RESOLVED, but this is still an issue that occurs on my camera.

Voices cannot be heard on video camera, especially outside. Two way conversation does NOT work. Support rep said it cannot be adjusted. It is marketed as being able to converse with person outside

I've had many issues with the Simplisafe cameras over the course of two years and have received many replacements. One thing I can definitely conclude is that the volume on the older cameras I have had was significantly better.  Not only is the

So I installed the outdoor power cable and unsurprisingly it works just like the aftermarket outdoor power cable. Moreover after some experimentation I have found that once the battery charge goes below around 90%, the camera sends motion events to
