About me

I have Simplisafe installed in two homes. My Avon Indiana home has the original system. We are constantly having problems with it and the controls panels going through batteries. The base station cannot update because it can't connect to Simplisafe. It's in the same room as the wifi router, just as it has been for years. I need help because I'm losing faith in Simplisafe since the beginning of choosing them as my security option. I'm also having problems with connection in my Colorado home.

What do we do when Gen 2 parts stop working? Both of my keypads stopped working at the same time. I don't understand how that's possible but I can't get them functioning again. What happened with Gen1 or Gen2 customers?

Did SimpliSafe give Gen1 or Gen2 customers a huge discount to update to the newest generation of system when it was released? I'm just curious what to expect when a Gen4 system comes out...
