We are seeing a resurgence in reports of users who are seeing sudden and repeated motion triggers, resulting in a new recording every 3 minutes, and eventually a rapid battery drain for their Wireless Outdoor Camera. These repeated triggers seem to be occurring both during the day, and when Night Vi

There is a known issue where at night, the Outdoor Camera's motion sensor may and initiate recordings repeatedly, without any confirmed (ongoing) triggers. Outdoor Camera Firmware Update 1.10.x has been rolling out, and it includes some fixes that may resolve this issue. You can check if your came

Simple answer - No! This has been a problem for 2 years and for two years SS have been saying a firmware update is coming!!! Here is a link to another thread for this problem showing the recording every 3 minutes problem dating back 2 years:

I don’t know why you all keep thinking that there will be a firmware update coming soon for this problem. This has been going on for the two years since my cameras starting having this 2/3 minute problem. And during all those two years SS have respo

Do you mean "problem IS" and not "was", as this problem has been ongoing for over 2 years now and they still have not solved it!

@emily_s I was told this 2 years ago and that a fix would be in the next update - 2 years later and you’re still saying the same thing. This is ridiculous!!!

2 years ago I had this problem and S S sent me a replacement camera. All was fine for approx 2 weeks then the recording every couple of minutes started. Ended up returning the camera and getting a refund. I now use a different make for my outdoor cam

I complained to SS and demanded they take my camera back. They eventually agreed.  I returned the useless camera and they refunded me the money.  SS are still selling a camera of which for the past 2 years they have known has a problem yet

OMG - I can't believe this is still happening I had this problem and posted about 2 years ago. Was fed BS from Simplisafe who kept saying it would be resolved in the next update - and it looks like they are still doing it!!   Do what I did and
