After 18 months, system failing in multiple ways

First of all, it's infuriating that there is no email address which I can submit a complaint to. So essentially I'm just complaining here.

Bought the system in March 2024. It worked fine for about a year. Since then, I have had a variety of issues. Now the system is pretty much useless, with the following issues unresolvable:

- Outdoor camera #1 failed.

Gradually more connection issues, slower to show live image.

Recently, it developed a problem where it does not acknowledge that the battery has been fully charged (even though it has). This further developed to it not acknowledging a charged battery had been placed in it at all. The battery lights don't function as they used to, with different numbers flashing/stopping.

Tried various resets (remove & add to system again).

Simplisafe do not seem to sell a replacement battery.

Current status - cannot add the device to the system, because the camera doesn't recognise that a charged battery has been placed into it.

- Outdoor camera #2 failed.

Same as problems as above on a similar timeline.

Current status - cannot add the device to the system. It spends ages trying to connect, then flashes red, even when right next to the wifi router and basestation. There doesn't seem to be any resolution to this.

- Indoor camera failed.

Gradually more and more connection issues. I've tried multiple times deleting it from the system and re-connecting it.

The status of it now is that I cannot add it to the system. When following the steps in the app, it ends with the camera having a flashing red light (even when close to the wifi router and the base station). There does not seem to be any resolution to this.

Additionally for a long time it has made a white noise when viewing the picture. I see other people report this too.

- Keypad failed.

The keypad did not need new batteries for about the first year we had it. In the last month, I've replaced the 4xAA batteries twice.

Additional complaint - why are none of the devices except the outdoor camera rechargeable? It's really wasteful and expensive to have to use so many batteries.

- Bellbox may also have an issue.

The bellbox reported connection issues, but then reported being OK. I'm not clear if it is working or not.

For all of the above issues, I have tried disconnecting and taking the batteries out of the base station.

I'm really angry and disappointed because the system is a lot of money both up front, and ongoing, for such poor product and service support.

Is there anything at all that can be done to solve these issues? Or am I best off just abandoning the system, cancelling my direct debit, and buying a different system?
