Connecting keypad to base

Brand new right out of the box. Keypad won't connect to base.  Base has a white light on. I've tried  connecting with the keypad right next to the base.  I've emailed Simplisafe with no response. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They likely won't reply to your email.  They almost never do.  You'd be better off calling their support line.

brand new out of the box and second keypad won't connect to base. base is working and so is the first keypad. help.

@gracemsousa Do you see an error message on the Keypad's screen? If so, what does it say?

 

As a first troubleshooting step, it can help to power cycle the Keypad. To do this:

  1. Slide the battery cover off the back of the Keypad
  2. Remove all 4 batteries from the Keypad
  3. Wait at least 3 minutes so the Keypad fully powers off
  4. Place the batteries back into the Keypad

If the Keypad still does not connect to the Base Station after performing a power cycle, it could be that there is interference between the Keypad and Base Station that is preventing the devices from connecting. Temporarily move the Keypad closer to the Base Station to help establish the connection.
