Simplisafe interface

I recently purchased Simplsafe. The installation was a breeze. However, the interface sucks. I am older and prefer to use my cell phone to make/receive texts and phone calls. I have a PC for apps. Why doesn't Simplisafe offer a web based or stand alone app with the interface? A simple house with the location of the sensors installed (in colors) so I can see at a glance if my security systems is active/off/home. the ability to click on the camera/doorbell to view the recordings (or live) etc in a stand alone program or a web based "dashboard" page.

I logged in but there is no dashboard and no way to view my videos. This 'security system' appears to be set up for youngsters and we older people should have saved our money.

@limillr Once you log into your account using a web browser, it should say "Cameras" on the left side of the screen. Click on that, and it should allow you to view your cameras' livestream.

If you would like to watch specific recordings from your camera using the webapp, click "Timeline" on the left side of the screen for all of your cameras' recordings.

This only allows you to log into general account info, shop or activate monitoring. That's it. The older system allowed you to see every monitor and activate on or off. The more we progress, the further backwards we go!

There is something wrong with your computer or you are doing something wrong.  Try another browser.  I can assure you when I log into mine the first thing I see is 3 large buttons, Off, Home, and Away.  Whatever mode is active is highlighted and I can activate any of the modes from there.  I can also view cameras and check individual sensor status.  So some of us are progressing just fine, not sure why you are not.  Are you still subscribed to the interactive plan?  If not, this is why.

You shouldn't have to pay to self  monitor.  You can turn lights in and off and lock doors or so what ever you want with other apps... I couldn't even reset my pin number because I'm not a subscriber..

You don't have to pay to self monitor - for a system which is designed for that.  You do have to pay for professional monitoring for a system designed for professional monitoring.
