The first step to installing your Original SimpliSafe security system is to set up your Base Station. We recommend installing it in a central location to ensure that you can hear it’s built in 85 decibel siren from anywhere in your home. We also advise users to install the Base Station 3-5 feet off of the floor, and 5 feet away from all major electronics.
To install your Base Station you will want to start by removing the Base Station from the box. Next, plug the Base Station into a power outlet using the included power adapter. The Base Station will display a blue light, and provide a voice prompt stating that your Base Station is in test mode. Once your Base Station is finished speaking you can continue with installing the rest of your devices.
