How do I use 2-way audio on the cameras?

What is 2-way Audio?
2-way audio is a feature that works on all SimpliSafe® cameras. While using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App, 2-way audio allows you to hear audio from your camera and speak through it when viewing live streams.
How to Enable 2-way Audio
You can enable 2-way audio in the SimpliSafe® Mobile App by taking the following steps:
Open up the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your phone or tablet.
Choose the Cameras tab from the bottom of the navigation bar.
Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open Camera Settings.
Select the camera you want to enable 2-way audio for.
Toggle Mic & Audio on.
Be sure to tap Save on the top right corner of the screen to save this setting.
Repeat steps 4-6 for every other camera you want to enable 2-way audio for.
How to Use 2-way Audio
For the Wireless Outdoor Security Camera and Smart Alarm Wireless Indoor Security Camera
To use 2-way audio with your Outdoor Camera and Smart Alarm Indoor Camera, simply tap the speaker button. If you press and hold the speaker button like you would with the SimpliCam® and Video Doorbell, 2-way audio will not work.
For the SimpliCam® Wired Indoor Security Camera and Video Doorbell Pro
To use 2-way audio with your SimpliCam® and Video Doorbell, press the microphone button in the SimpliSafe® Mobile App while talking and release it to hear what is being said. If you hold the microphone button while someone is speaking to you through the camera, you will not be able to hear them.
Please note: if you use 2-way audio through your Outdoor Camera or Smart Alarm Indoor Camera while it is recording, the audio will be included in the video. If you use 2-way audio through your SimpliCam® or Video Doorbell while it is recording, the video will only include audio detected through the camera, not what was said through the SimpliSafe® Mobile App.
Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing problems with your 2-way audio, please follow the steps below:
Ensure your camera is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Base Station.
Check that the volume on your phone is turned up so that audio from the camera is passing through.
Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App to confirm that 2-way audio is on by taking the steps below:
Navigate to the cameras tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the gear icon in the top right corner to open up Camera Settings.
Select the camera that you are troubleshooting.
Make sure that Mic & Audio is toggled on.
The SimpliSafe® Mobile App requires access to your phone’s microphone and speaker within the phone’s settings. Consult with your phone’s manual to adjust these settings and permissions.
If the steps above did not enable 2-way audio, it may help to remove and reinstall your camera.
To remove the camera:
Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your phone or tablet.
Choose the Cameras tab from the bottom of the navigation bar.
Select the gear icon on the top right corner to open up Camera Settings.
Select your camera.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Remove Camera.

Please wait 10 minutes after installing your camera before testing 2-way audio to allow for connection and updating.
If after 10 minutes the camera has a flashing yellow light, it is having an issue connecting with SimpliSafe®. In this case, move the camera closer to your Wi-Fi router.
The Outdoor Camera is subject to the elements, and occasionally water and dust may get on it. It may help to remove the camera from its mount and gently shake it to remove any water or dust build-up.
