Image Distortion (red/pink/orange glitch) on Outdoor Camera and Smart Alarm Indoor Camera footage
We have received reports of users seeing video recordings and livestreams from the Wireless Outdoor Camera and the Smart Alarm Indoor Camera, where the image appears to be distorted, or has a reddish, purple, or orange tint. Examples from our Community can be found in the thread below.
Some users may be advised to try a hard reset of the camera to force the software to refresh. We still recommend that you try this as a troubleshooting step (instructions for the Outdoor Cam can be found on the Help Center here, and for the Indoor Cam can be found on the Help Center here.
However, we have identified a potential hardware issue that is affecting at least some cases. Our engineering team continues to investigate a solution. In the meantime, if you have already tried a reset as mentioned above, and you continue to see the image distortion, please comment below.

The video in my Outdoor Camera has a red tint that I can't get rid of. I've tried pulling the battery out for a few minutes a couple times. I even removed the camera and set it up again.
It has happened before and removing the battery for a couple minutes usually fixed it. The signal strength is fine.
Is there something else I can do or does it need replaced?

A power cycle of my indoor camera restored the colour to normal.

Can the engineering team contact me as well? I’ve had the same issues and have followed the same troubleshooting steps.

I get that occasionally with doorbells at cross over from day to night.
Usually switching resolution, saving and switching back, fixes it temporarily. Until next time.
If not, you've probably got Infrared LED'S stuck on and need replacement cameras. IMHO.

I have a slightly different version of this issue. My Series 2 camera now shows a magenta flicker in the light colored areas of the daylight video. I have tried switching resolutions, turning off night vision, removing all power for a hard reset, removing the camera from the system, doing a factory reset and reinstallation per directions, and nothing helps. Camera is still under warranty so am going to contact Support tomorrow for a replacement.
