Wireless Siren chime for Video Doorbell Pro button press

My basestation is located where it needs to be, upstairs near the bedroom. It is quite far for one to hear the doorbell ring during the day though, and I do not have an old doorbell to connect to (it was removed many years ago, including the wiring). It would seem an easy solution could be having the siren also be able to ring - then I could have as many as I needed, located where I could be sure to hear them. Any chance?

Hi! Thanks so much for the suggestion.

First we do want to reiterate that the Video Doorbell Pro is designed to be plugged into a wired mechanical doorbell system. While it's possible for it to work with other wiring and power setups, we do not recommend it and we are not able to support it.

But to answer the question of the possibility to have the Wireless Siren also echo the doorbell chime: As of right now, the firmware isn't programmed that way. But I've moved your post to the Product Requests and Suggestions section for consideration by our product team!

A function that would be very beneficial for Simplisafe customers who work from home would be to add the door bell ring capability to the extra siren in addition to the door chime in an update.  I work from home in a detached garage office.  The garage is too far away to be able to hear either the regular door bell or the base station sounds.  I purchased a extra siren for the garage office hoping that it would be able to relay all sounds from the base station to help monitor my home while working but it does not pass through the door bell ring.  I often miss people at the front door delivering packages, neighbors calling, etcetera because of this.  Seems like it should be simple to do in a software update.

I should add the doorbell is a SimpliSafe video doorbell which the base station has a doorbell sound.  Why can't the doorbell sound also be relayed to the remote siren the same way the door opening chimes are?

This is desperately needed.

@tjlepore yes I really need this feature. Have a large house and cannot the base station chime.

It rings on my cell phone which is usually close and adequate for me personally.

As long as it's an option to turn off I'm all for features.

If the sound notifications for the doorbell rings could be separated from the camera motion detection sound notifications in the app, that would make using my phone an answer.  However I have multiple exterior cameras which get triggered fairly often by dog walkers, cars, even shrubbery in the wind so the sound notifications get turned off on my phone due to the constant annoyance.

@jasoncrump I'm using a Samsung Android and also have multiple outdoor cams.

If you're using an android, at least on Samsung the doorbell is a separate sound.

The OD cameras I have set for Luna sound and doorbells a synthesizer sound of some sort.

Alarm in SS notifications categories is camera for me and doorbell is labeled separately and has a separate sound.

I have two Doorbells though and presume only one sound for both. Not separate.

If using iOS, you're mostly out of luck.

Yeah, I don’t see why this isn’t already a feature within either the siren or a standalone plug and play device. This would easily make SS money (they can sell the device) and should be very low hanging fruit.
